Meals on Wheels Spokane

Feeding Bodies, Nurturing Souls, & Saving Lives
Meals on Wheels Spokane has been delivering hot, nutritious meals to elderly, homebound seniors in Spokane since 1967. We are proud to be the only Meals on Wheels program in Washington State that also operates a senior center on site—Mid-City Concerns Senior Center—allowing us to support older adults both in their homes and in a community setting.
With the help of more than 500 dedicated volunteers, we serve over 600 meals each day and nearly 215,000 meals each year. Our objective is to ensure proper nutrition for individuals who are unable to meet this need on their own. This vital service helps seniors remain safely in their homes, reduces premature out-of-home placement, and can support earlier discharge from hospitals, nursing care, or rehabilitation facilities—encouraging recovery in the comfort and familiarity of home.
Our services are available to people of all income levels, whether on a temporary or permanent basis, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, or political affiliation. While meals are at the heart of what we do, we are so much more than a meal. Our programs are designed to support the whole person—and even their pets—because we know seniors thrive when their basic needs, companionship, and sense of security are met.
Our Mission
To sustain the independence of those we serve by providing services and activities related to nutrition, advocacy, education, and recreation through the Meals on Wheels Spokane program and the Mid-City Concerns Senior Center.

Christ Kitchen

A place of hope for women in poverty. Their mission is to help impoverished women heal and overcome critical employment and life challenges such as felonies and reentry into society, lack of job experience, prostitution, human trafficking, physical, sexual and mental abuse, addiction, untreated mental health issues and more. They envision a community where no woman or her children who rely on her for survival lives in poverty, due to lack of skills, abusive relationships, or reliance on government assistance or unhealthy substances. Inland Northwest Honor Flight

Inland Northwest Honor Flight’s mission is to transport Inland Northwest war veterans to Washington D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.

Inland Northwest Honor Flight is a regional hub of Honor Flight Network, and was founded in May 2009. Our aim is to serve as many veterans as possible and will do our best to transport any veterans within the eastern Washington and northern Idaho area who served during the Honor Flight recognized periods of conflict. While we are most certainly accepting applications from WWII and Korean War veterans, the vast majority traveling with us now are Vietnam War veterans, on a first come, first served basis. If any of our applicants are suffering from a terminal illness, we have a process to prioritize their application.
